Differential: LBV is one of the special categories of Port Wine produced from a single harvest and bottled after an aging period of 4 to 6 years. Originating from the challenging 2020 vintage in the Douro — marked by vineyard disease risks, a hot and intense summer, and medium to low yields — Vasques de Carvalho presents a lively, fresh and unfiltered wine that ensures excellent bottle evolution over time.
Contents: 75cl (19.6% vol.) bottle with a deep ruby color. The nose is highly expressive, revealing aromas of red fruits reminiscent of cherry, currant and raspberry, combined with a subtle balsamic touch.
How to take: On the palate, it appears fresh and vibrant, with chocolate notes intertwined with the exuberance of the fruit. It presents an excellent balance between tannins and acidity, bringing elegance and harmony to its natural sweetness. The finish is long and persistent, allowing it to be enjoyed immediately while also offering great aging potential in the bottle.
