Differential: Potion 2003 is a rare natural sweet wine, born from native grape varieties cultivated in the volcanic soils of Lajido do Pico. Once highly appreciated by the Russian Tsars, this historic wine is produced without the addition of alcohol, relying solely on the natural dehydration of the grapes on the vine. Aged for 20 years in wooden casks in the cellars of Curral Atlantis, it has become a true symbol of excellence from the “Black Island” of Pico.
Contents: 2003 vintage wine (16.5% vol.), crafted from the noble grape varieties Verdelho, Arinto dos Açores and Terrantez do Pico. It reveals extraordinary aromatic complexity, combining the noble evolution of time with the unmistakable identity of its volcanic terroir.
How to take: On the palate, it is exceptionally elegant, deep and persistent. Both the nose and the palate are defined by a remarkable balance between notes of dried fruits, honey and the iconic volcanic salinity of the Azores.
